Bachelor's - Computer Information Systems

Computer information systems (CIS) is a rapid-growth, high-demand area combining studies in computer science and business administration.The CIS major has been designed to meet the demand for graduates with a knowledge of information systems and their application to business environments.Along with an emphasis on computer applications in software, hardware and programming, CIS majors receive a strong business and liberal arts education. CIS represents the largest area in computing, and CLU graduates are prepared for careers in a variety of industries. Included in the computer science facility are the PC and Apple computer laboratories, as well as classrooms and faculty offices.Small classes allow faculty members to provide individualized attention to students and the students' projects and research. Additionally, the department is fully connected to the internet and every lab PC or work station has complete internet access.

Bachelor's - Computer Science

In keeping with the fast-growing computer science industry, CLU has expanded its computer science department in terms of technology and curriculum.The curriculum, which follows that recommended by the Association for Computing Machines, offers special courses on artificial intelligence, software engineering and computational theory. JAVA is the primary language used in the curriculum.This computer science curriculum prepares students for a variety of careers in both the public and private sectors. CLU computer science graduates often pursue careers that utilize their skills in software and hardware development, programming, computer use in businesses, computer engineering and education.

Master's - Computer Science

Cal Lutheran offers its Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) to enhance the skills and knowledge of computer professionals, combining creativity with technological savvy to enable them to reach new heights in technological advancement.

Adults working in leading industries in the region participate in small classes, interact with a highly qualified faculty, and share in a wide array of academic, professional and social pursuits.

In addition, students benefit from the opportunity to complete the degree in as few as 12 months while enjoying the beauty and climate of Southern California.

The MSCS program integrates advanced conceptual tools with a strong practical component for a broad range of technologies and skills. In the MSCS program, students receive training in a broad scope of current computer science subjects, including:
