The South Orlando campus is centrally located in the heart of South Orlando's business district. The physical facility is a large one-story building and incorporates close to 70,000 square-feet including 21 classrooms, six computer laboratories, two medical laboratories, a pharmacy tech laboratory, massage therapy laboratory, bookstore, library, staff and faculty offices, testing room, two student lounges, staff lounge, conference rooms, restrooms, lobby and storage areas.
The Computer Information Science program provides students with a background in computer programming and systems development, computer hardware and operating systems, and accounting and business applications. These courses complement the business-oriented applications that graduates may encounter in the professional workplace. Graduates may be qualified to seek entry-level employment in a number of related occupations, including programmer.
The Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Science offers graduates special training in the development, analysis and design of computer information systems and database management systems. The program focuses on concepts, principles, goals, functions and management of information-driven business organizations, stressing the development of business applications through the use of computer languages.
