Associate's - Web Development (Online)

The Web Development degree program at Fortis College Online will prepare you for entry-level employment in the Information Technology field with a focus in Web Development. Learn the skills most applicable to building corporate websites and associated marketing tools in today's "Web 2.0" environment. This program emphasizes web design and the integration of large databases and other applications to build fully featured e-commerce and socially networked sites. The program also emphasizes the use of high quality graphics, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and web analytics to assure that the web sites created are highly cost efficient in today's competitive environment on the internet. In addition, you will learn internet ethics and a full array of communications related courses to assure that upon graduation you can function in any client or corporate setting.

Upon graduation, students who take the Web Development course will be competitive applicants for positions such as Web Master, Website Developer, Web Manager and Junior IT Specialist.

Associate's in Digital Graphic Design (Online)

The Associate of Science program in Graphic Design prepares students academically and professionally to seek entry-level in the following professions: graphic designer, desktop publishing specialist, pre-press specialist, and web designer. In this online associate's degree program, students will focus on graphic design theory and techniques which can support a professional career as a graphic designer or graphic artist. Students will learn the basics of art, color theory, format, design, digital publishing and how these are used in the corporate and business world. This program can help develop creative talents to produce effective print and multimedia designs in a practical career.
