About Santa Barbara Business College
Santa Barbara Business College is one of the oldest colleges in California and the country.
The College was founded in 1888 as a California business college and normal institute. Normal institutes trained teachers at the turn of the 20th century. The primary curriculum focus throughout SBBC's long history has been business.
In recent years, curriculum offerings have expanded to include programs in Allied Health, Information Technology, Paralegal and Criminal Justice in addition to the traditional Business offerings.
Santa Barbara Business College is an accredited business college that has grown into five campuses, with locations in Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Bakersfield, Rancho Mirage and Ventura, California. We serve thousands of students, alumni and employers each year. Thousands of graduates work and hold important positions in the communities we serve, and we are proud to have educated many generations of the families in these communities.
Associate's - Network Administration
If you are interested in a career working with computers and have been thinking about attending a computer technology college in California, Santa Barbara Business College has a program in Network Systems Administration that could fit your needs. Network Systems Administrators should be qualified to install, configure, manage and maintain existing Microsoft Networks, and the Network Systems Administration program is designed to do exactly that. The curriculum includes peripheral interfacing, network design and administration, client/server computing and LAN management. It can also provide exposure to the relationship between LANs and WANs, connectivity, network theory, system integration and Internet languages. Upon completion of the program, graduates can be prepared for emerging positions such as Network Administrators or Engineers, Systems Directors, M.I.S. Directors or Computer Support Specialists.
