Career Education Institute (CEI) is now LINCOLN! The Marietta GA, Norcross GA and Henderson NV locations, formerly Career Education Institute (CEI) schools, became official campuses of Lincoln College of Technology in July 2006, and the Somerville MA, Lowell, MA, Brockton MA and Lincoln RI locations, formerly Career Education Institute (CEI) schools, became official campuses of Lincoln Technical Institute in September 2006.

Still the same great schools, we offer day and evening classes designed around the working adult, giving students the flexibility to maintain their current work schedule and still have the time necessary for school. With programs designed for everyone from the unemployed to the under-employed, our goal is to train individuals to a level of proficiency that leads to a rewarding career.

Somerville Campus

Located just outside Boston, Massachusetts, considered by some to be the medical "heart" of the country, the Somerville campus is easy to get to by car or public transportation and offers free parking. Our facility offers two floors of training space, which gives us the opportunity to offer a wide range of programs frequently, while at the same time keeping our classes small so our students receive the personal attention that they deserve.

Associate's - Network Communications and Information Systems (NCIS)

Lincoln's Network Communications and Information Systems (NCIS) program will provide students with a strong foundation on which to build a successful career in Information Technology. With different program concentrations to choose from, students can focus their NCIS training in one of the following areas: Security, Microsoft Systems, Specialized Support, or Linux Operating Systems. Not all of these components of Lincoln's Network Communications and Information Systems (NCIS) are available at all campuses--contact your individual campus Admissions Representative for exact program availability.

Concentration in: Linux Operating Systems
Specialists are always in demand, and within the IT industry there is always a need for Linux technician and administrators. With Lincoln's Network Communications and Information Systems (NCIS) program with Linux Operating Systems, you'll be exposed to the core principles of networking concepts including; LINUX and SLES installations, LINUX administration and installing, and configuring a LINUX Enterprise Server. You'll learn the fundamental function and administration of network systems, reinforced by hands-on experience. You'll be trained to administer and fully utilize the Linux operating systems from the ground up…giving you a "ground floor" opportunity to embark on this new, in-demand career!

Concentration in: Microsoft Systems
Now, more than ever before, American business relies on internal and external computer networking systems to effectively communicate with staff members and clients. With Lincoln's Network Communications and Information Systems (NCIS) program with Microsoft Systems, you'll be exposed to the core principles of networking concepts including; office applications, computer hardware, software, and desktop operating systems. You'll also develop professional skills for successfully managing and troubleshooting system environments running on Microsoft Windows operating systems…skills that will "communicate" your value to employers in today's exciting IT industry!

Concentration in: Security
In this era of identify theft and "cyber sabotage," American businesses seeking to keep their information technology systems safe from "hacker attacks" or computer viruses must rely on personnel trained, skilled and experienced in NCIS security. With Lincoln's Network Communications and Information Systems (NCIS) program with Security, you'll learn the fundamental function and administration of network systems, reinforced by hands-on experience that will help "secure" your entry into this dynamic career.

Concentration in: Specialized Support
As today's computer-driven, business environment grows ever more complex, the need for trained computer technicians who can help resolve problems and answer questions has never been in more demand.
