Computer Graphics NTA.17
Digital multimedia tools have been around for a long time and in
the past were used exclusively in the publishing, animation and
digital multimedia CD-ROM production areas. With the advent of
the internet, multimedia tools on both Macintosh and IBM

artistic talent who is also interested in the computer as the
medium.
This program covers the essentials of graphic application
software used in the multimedia, web and graphics industries and
covers Adobe® Photoshop® CS and Adobe®
Illustrator® CS as well as Macromedia Flash MX 2004 Designer
certifications. In addition, students will learn to use 3D Studio
Max to produce animations.
This program is designed for the individual who already has a
post-secondary degree and/or is already working in the field and
who needs to integrate graphics and animation into their work.
Typically, a web programmer interested in spicing up their web
page or a graphic artist who needs to pursue a certification
track will be interested in this program.
Certifications covered:
- Adobe® Photoshop® CS Exam # 9A0-036
- Adobe® Illustrator® CS Exam # 9A0-035

The following programs prepare students for exams leading to
valuable industry certifications.
Database Administration (Oracle 10g DBA) LEA.AT
Back to top
The objective of this program is to provide the student with the
knowledge and skills to manage and maintain an Oracle 10g database
system and to prepare the student for the Oracle Certified
Professional (Database Administrator Track) designation
examinations.
Database management is one of the largest fields within the IT
industry. Oracle technology can be found in nearly every industry
around the world and in the offices of 98 of the Fortune 100
companies. Oracle is the first software company to develop and
deploy 100 percent internet-enabled enterprise software across its
entire product line: database, business applications, application
development and decision support tools. Oracle is the world's
leading supplier of software for information management and the
world's second largest independent software company.
The expertise of Oracle database administrators (DBAs) is
integral to the success of increasingly complex, data intensive
and demanding environments. Today's DBA is called upon to
fine-tune day-to-day performance and to prevent unscheduled
crises, such as a crashed database or hours of expensive
downtime. This critical work requires a broad understanding of
the architecture and processes of the Oracle database, as well as
plenty of hands-on-experience solving problems.
