Colleges and Schools (ACICS), it is the philosophy of
Southwestern College to establish and maintain standards that
will foster the training, advancement, welfare and best interest

This associate's degree* program available at our Southwestern
College campuses provides students with an introductory knowledge
of computer operations and applications for business use.
Students can build proficiency in Microsoft applications with
hands-on experience and an emphasis on preparation for MOS
certification. Upon completion of this program, students will be
prepared for entry-level opportunities in computer
applications-related positions including help desk operations and
technical support.

Security
In this era of identify theft and "cyber sabotage," American
businesses seeking to keep their information technology systems
safe from "hacker attacks" or computer viruses must rely on
personnel trained, skilled and experienced in NCIS security.
With Lincoln's NCIS program with security, you'll learn the
fundamental function and administration of network systems,
reinforced by hands-on experience that will help "secure" your
entry into this dynamic career.
Microsoft Systems
Now, more than ever before, American business relies on
internal and external computer networking systems to
effectively communicate with staff members and clients. With
Lincoln's NCIS program with Microsoft Systems, you'll be
exposed to the core principles of networking concepts
including:
- Office applications
- Computer hardware
- Software
- Desktop operating systems
You'll also develop professional skills for successfully
managing and troubleshooting system environments running on
Microsoft Windows operating systems--skills that will
"communicate" your value to employers in today's exciting IT

more complex, the need for trained computer technicians who can
help resolve problems and answer questions has never been in
more demand. With Lincoln's NCIS program with specialized
support, you'll be exposed to the core principles of networking

Linux Operating Systems
Specialists are always in demand, and within the IT industry
there is always a need for Linux technician and administrators.
With NCIS program with Linux operating systems, you'll be
exposed to the core principles of networking concepts
including:
- LINUX and SLES installations
- LINUX administration and installing
- configuring a LINUX Enterprise Server
You'll learn the fundamental function and administration of
network systems, reinforced by hands-on experience. You'll be
trained to administer and fully utilize the Linux operating
systems from the ground up, giving you a "ground floor"
opportunity to embark on this new, in-demand career!
