Associate of Science in Computer Graphics & Design

The AS in Computer Graphics and Design program at Keiser University has a comprehensive curriculum that provides the knowledge of visual communication as a commercial art and the practical computer and professional skills required for entry-level graphic designer positions. Acquisition of computer application skills, graphic design theory, methodology and professional practice is equally emphasized.

Students begin the program with an introductory course which familiarizes them with the technology of contemporary computer-based graphic design, as well as a strong grounding of the theory and practice of graphic design as a commercial art. The other courses in the program each concentrate on one aspect of commercial graphic design and the computer applications typically used. Specialties covered in the program include illustration, photo-manipulation, page layout, 3D modeling and animation, digital video and sound editing, multimedia authoring and electronic publishing including webpage design.
