Computer Animation/Multimedia - Associate's Degree
With the enhancement of electronic and wireless technologies in today's world, interactive designers are in high demand. Multimedia designers are visual communicators that combine text and images in a virtual environments, which includes everything from animation components for the web to animated character development for commercials. Multimedia designers create in both Macintosh (Apple) and PC environment along with the Autodesk 3DS Max to generate virtual environments and basic character and object developments. The multimedia/animation program prepares students for a successful career in media design through building a foundation of traditional digital design skill, then providing students with multimedia training on current multimedia/animation applications. The critical skills of animation, modeling and rendering are taught, as well as understanding of multimedia/animation design business practices. Technologies taught include Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, InDesign and Dreamweaver.
