Founded in Miami, Florida as the Florida Programming and
Educational Center, the school's first classes began in 1982. In
2003, the Center changed its name to Florida Career College.
Through the years, the school has grown and expanded with
additional courses and programs developed to match student skills

After learning the fundamentals of computers and widely-used
business software, students in this 24-month program learn to
write, update and maintain the detailed instructions of programs
and software. This program introduces the area of software
development that includes the designing of programs for general
business use. In addition, students will also learn the
fundamentals of web design as well as the programming languages
needed to develop successful sites on the web. This program will
prepare students for the Microsoft Certified Professional and
certification exams.

The 24-month program prepares graduates for successful entry and
advancement in the field of network computing and systems
integration. Graduates are prepared to operate Microsoft Windows
2000, Cisco and Novell network operating systems. After learning
the fundamentals of computers, application software and computer
repair, students learn to troubleshoot networks, design and
implement upgrades and make enhancements on network operating
systems.
This program will prepare students for the Microsoft Certified
Professional, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, CompTIA A+,
CompTIA Network+ and Cisco Certified Network Associate
certification exams.

In this 24-month program, students begin by learning the
fundamentals of computers, operating systems and application
software. Several web design products and languages are
introduced, allowing students to design powerful and effective
Web sites. Students learn about the networking environments that
allow servers to run. Becoming a "Web professional" requires a
broad range of skills and knowledge to build and manage an
organization's Web site - whether Internet or Intranet. Our

animation; e-marketing; e-commerce; programming languages;
